We are so lucky in Australia - we live on the largest most beautiful island in the world. We are surrounded by water, stunning marine parks, we are home to the Great Barrier Reef and many, many beautiful beaches and islands rim our country.
I have just viewed a film made about a very small island which is now a national park. It tells up about the conservancy work of someone who calls himself just an ordinary man, Brendon Grimshaw. It is a remarkable story about how he came to buy Moyenne island in the Seychelles Republic in 1972. Then, how he dedicated his life to the island planting thousands of trees, building carefully all the pathways and making it a for home for turtles and birds. His sole reason for doing so is to conserve it for the future of the planet and for anyone who would love to visit it. It is interesting and inspirational and shouldn't be kept a secret!
